I used to volunteer at an LGBTQIA+ group where we were told to collect personal info on everyone who attended, as it would help with getting grant money.
It was nuts, people who were unsure about their sexuality and/or gender and possibly afraid of harassment, being told to write down and give their intimate info to total strangers.
Needless to say we didn't collect the info.
