Zombie movies and tv shows don't seem to, for the most part, have knowledge of zombie movies and tv shows in them. There was one that referred to zombies as "Romeros" which was a nice touch, but mostly the folks never reference that body of fiction. Also, There should be more bicycles in zombie movies.
Not so with time travel stories. In some it's also an unawareness thing, but many "hang a lampshade" on it to explain to the audience as a shorthand for the "rules" of this story.

Il Pentagono ha inviato una โlettera di preoccupazioneโ a Microsoft documentando una โviolazione di fiduciaโ in merito allโutilizzo da parte dellโazienda di ingegneri cinesi per la manutenzione di sistemi informatici governativi sensibili, ha annunciato questa settimana il Segretario alla Difesa Pete Hegseth.
Allo stesso tempo, il Dipartimento della Difesa sta avviando unโindagine per verificare se qualcuno di questi dipendenti abbia compromesso la sicurezza nazionale.
โLโimpiego di cittadini cinesi per la manutenzione degli ambienti cloud del Dipartimento della Difesa รจ finitoโ, ha affermato Hegseth in una dichiarazione video. โAbbiamo inviato una lettera formale di preoccupazione a Microsoft documentando questa violazione della fiducia e stiamo richiedendo un audit di terze parti sul programma di scorta digitale di Microsoft, incluso il codice e le richieste dei cittadini cinesiโ.
โHanno inserito qualcosa nel codice di cui non eravamo a conoscenza? Lo scopriremoโ, ha aggiunto Hegseth.

There's always something more urgent: I've been known for a long time that sooner or later I'd feel prompted to switch from #github to somewhere else (since 2018 at least!), but I've been postponing and only very slowly flirting with the idea... That didn't work too bad for me: if I had rushed into it I would have probably migrated to #gitlab, before knowing about the more objectionable sides to it. In the end, 2025 was the year I finally acted upon the urge to move. I did not do a very thorough analysis of the alternative hosts - what I have been reading about them along the years felt enough, and I easily decided to choose #codeberg. Being hasty like that, alas, was a mistake: I just now found - during this slow and time-consuming process of deciding what and how to migrate - that there is a low repository limit on codeberg: "The owner has already reached the limit of 100 repositories." I'm not complaining, mind you, and those "lucky 100" that are already there will stay - at least as a sort of backup. But this means that codeberg is not for me - and so this time I turn to you, the #mastodon community.
What github alternative, not self-hosted, should I move my >100 projects into?
