In addition to donating money, you also have the option to talk with the victims of Israel. To say something encouraging/supportive/comforting to them.
Imagine being them, sitting awake at night, being bombarded without a break, being surrounded by gunfire noise and loud drone sounds, not knowing if this will be your last night on Earth. Now imagine the difference between
- feeling that nobody cares about you and constantly asking yourself what you did wrong to deserve this
- feeling massively supported, knowing you're not forgotten and being assured that your suffering is not your fault.
These people check their Mastodon every day. Imagine the difference it makes for their hope and will to live if they see just a meager handful of notifications when they wake up, or if they see hundreds of words of affirmation from all over the world.
They regularly ask that you share their message. That you don't forget them. That you include them in your prayers. This is what you are able to do. What you can tell them you'll do.
If you do this, they tell you it gives them strength.
What was not possible during other genocides, is possible during this genocide: That you can talk with the victims in real-time over the internet. That you can tell them that you pray for them.
You can shift your focus
- away from thinking about what you could tell your followers when you don't know what to say to them,
- to thinking about what you would like to say directly to the victims of this genocide, because they will read it.

This is a serious question. ICE has been doing checkpoints around DC, and one of the primary ways to protect against them is going up several blocks each way to warn people about them. But how do you pass the message to people in cars?
We're working on upping our sign game, but people won't always have signs with them. I stood at an intersection this morning with a hastily made, barely legible warning on a paper bag.
A widely understood hand sign could help with this.

Ich bin bisher super zufrieden mit der Fujifilm X-E5, aber eine Sache nervt. Vielleicht kann das jemand bestätigen, oder dementieren?
Weder mit der X-E4, noch mit der X-T5 gibt es Probleme mit der XApp. Die X-E5 lässt sich registrieren und alles funktioniert super. Schalte ich sie aus, geht die XApp auf Bereitschaft. Soweit korrekt. Schalte ich sie ein, wird sie in der XApp getrennt und die App möchte neu koppeln. Die Kamera weiß nichts davon und ab da ist die Registrierung kaputt.

They still fail in one thing: they still want to rely on the coordination of NATO and other countries, instead of setting up a common regional General Staff between themselves.
#NATO is lead by the USA, which are not reliable.
Major European countries (France, UK) would like to create a common command, but also want to lead it, and the other countries don't like that.

Ugh! i hate masking, but i feel like i have to in order to get along in society. i just made myself not reply to someone's comment. They were happy about something and it reminded me of how happy i was when the literal opposite thing happened to me (trans male versus trans female experiences) and i thought the contrast was really funny and that was a happy thought to me all on it's own, so i wanted to share that. But then the masking kicked in and a rule of conversation that took me decades to learn kicked in: don't comment about your own personal experiences when someone else shares their experience, because if you do you are "making it about yourself". Anyone who follows me has probably seen that i don't follow this rule all the time, but i'd say about half the time i will censor myself because of it.
