Příčin je víc. Automobilky se potýkají s nákladným přechodem na elektromobilitu, tvrdou konkurencí z Asie i s vysokými dovozními cly v USA, která zdražují evropské výrobky. Vývozní statistiky to potvrzují: ve druhém čtvrtletí se export německého průmyslu do USA propadl o 10 %, do Číny dokonce o 14 %. Ještě v roce 2020 byla Čína druhým nejdůležitějším exportním trhem německých firem, dnes je až šestá.
Problémem ale není jen zahraničí. Poradenská společnost EY upozorňuje, že jedním z hlavních důvodů poklesu je i slabá domácí poptávka. Tržby s tuzemskými zákazníky se meziročně propadly o 3,8 %. Německo dlouhodobě trápí nízké investice, vysoká daňová a odvodová zátěž, složitá byrokracie a pomalá digitalizace. Bez zásadního růstového impulsu se nálada v průmyslu jen těžko zlepší.
Pro Česko jsou tato čísla varováním. Na německý průmysl jsme napojeni jako málokdo, a zejména na ten automobilový. Pokud německé automobilky a jejich dodavatelé šlapou na brzdu, projeví se to i v české ekonomice: méně zakázek pro naše firmy, nižší export, tlak na zaměstnanost. To, co se dnes děje v Německu, se tak může se zpožděním negativně promítnout i do českého průmyslu a hospodářství.
