The stats on crime show it's down and decreasing, but the media is effectively telling us it's bad and maybe getting worse. Because Fox News is popular and wants to push that message, getting people scared is good for the algos and coverage of crime gives local news something to report. Dems arguing for the facts thus comes off as lying or being out of touch.

Dopo tre o quattro tutorial invece ora penso: sarà anche un po’ rognoso da settare , ma è una figata ! son solo agli inizi ma…. Trovo sia decisamente meglio di logseq e obsidian sommati insieme, se vinci la diffidenza. E c’è anche #roam-mode e sia benedetto il cielo evil mode (shortcuts di vim , che faccio fatica a tenere a mente sia quelli di eMacs che quello di vin!)

Non ho mai avuto bisogno di configurare nulla per Org... apro il file e scrivo, il markup lo uso solo quando davvero ho bisogno che il testo sia speciale. Magari il modo con cui prendo note è troppo "semplicistico", ma ha certamente tenuto a bada il caos che è parte della natura stessa di Emacs. E non ho neanche dovuto seguire tutorial. ;)
Agenda no, per i TODO solo a volte e per questo non ho proprio bisogno di tutto quello che offre. Principalmente lo uso per scrivere note o documenti più o meno strutturati, anche che vengono letti da altri oltre a me e il markup base è più che sufficiente. Visto che non sempre mi ricordo tutte le funzionalità o le combinazioni di tasti, di solito quando non ho tempo di leggere il manuale se mi sono segnato qualcosa da fare e lo porto a termine, o lo cancello o lo sposto in una sezione (creata da una intestazione con un solo asterisco) con titolo "Fatto" o simile. Non è il massimo ma funziona. 😛
@vanni ahhh ok 👍🏻 per ora voglio provare a vedere cosa sa fare quindi sto smanettando con files di configurazione, pacchetti aggiuntivi ecc . È un delirio, ma anche parecchio istruttivo ! Tra l’altro è quasi infinito, c’è un pacchetto per ogni cosa , tutto configurabile ovviamente ! 🤣
Ah beh, se l'obbiettivo è proprio quello di provare tutto quello che trovi allora divertiti! 😀 Comunque, se mai deciderai di usare Emacs "seriamente" ti consiglio lo stesso di limitare pacchetti e configurazioni solo per quello a cui proprio non puoi fare a meno... all'inizio anche io mi affidavo a "preset" scritti da altri, tipo copiando init.el da blog vari, e con il senno di poi questa cosa mi ha fatto più male che bene. Ho veramente iniziato a usare il potenziale del programma quando ho abbandonato tutto e sono ripartito da zero.

@lionelb no worries! I'm close enough to the US that I might as well be there. I'm sure we share all the same plants and animals with the northernmost part of New York State. I got a photo of the underwing but it was very blurry and dark.
@lionelb oh never mind, I read further, and it was 2005, and it says they're expanding their range where there is bird's foot trefoil, which we have tons of in our yard and neighborhood.
