May Allah curse the occupation!” My grandmother went out, taking her bag of medicines with her because she has a heart condition, and my younger sister went with her. My parents, my brothers, and I left the building together.
I wasn’t terrified by the attack, but I was frightened to lose our own house again."

Displacement here is not a personal choice; it is a desperate collective attempt to survive. But for me, staying in the city is survival. Even if I die, it’s still a form of survival, simply because I stayed."

De meeste mooie zelf bedachte leus werd geroepen door een paar kinderen en hun moeder die achter ons liepen.
