Jeho aktivity sahají od technického výzkumu a průzkumu na okraji technologického vesmíru přes kampaně, akce, politické poradenství, sdělení až po provoz anonymizačních služeb a komunikačních prostředků. Klub se skládá z decentralizovaných skupin v německy mluvících zemích, které organizují pravidelné akce a setkání.

39. ročník Chaos Communication Congress (39C3) se konal v Hamburku ve dnech 27. až 30. prosince 2025 a je ročníkem 2025 každoroční čtyřdenní konference o technologii, společnosti a utopii, kterou organizuje Chaos Computer Club (CCC) a dobrovolníci. Kongres nabízí přednášky, workshopy a různé akce na řadu témat, včetně (ale nejen) informačních technologií a obecně kriticko-kreativního přístupu k technologiím a diskuse o dopadech technologického pokroku na společnost.
Náš digitální život je v rukou několika superbohatých lidí. Díky monopolnímu postavení svých společností určují lidé jako Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos nebo Mark Zuckerberg po celém světě, jak se informujeme online, jak diskutujeme, komunikujeme nebo jednáme. Nikdo a žádná společnost by neměla mít takový nekontrolovaný vliv, protože pak už nemůžeme žít ve svobodě.
Dobrá zpráva: tuto moc jim v současné době dáváme my a můžeme jim ji také vzít zpět: každou první neděli v měsíci proto pořádáme #DigitalIndependenceDay: získáme zpět náš svobodný digitální život, přestaneme ničit demokracii a přejdeme k demokratickým digitálním alternativám. A postupně si zajistíme naši digitální nezávislost!
Co mohu udělat?
Nabídky velkých technologických společností se jeví jako bezalternativní pouze kvůli jejich nadměrné viditelnosti. Přitom existuje řada alternativ k sociálním médiím, online nakupování nebo streamování videa, které jsou šetrnější k společnosti.

Digital Independence Day (DID) je společný projekt mnoha organizací, koordinovaný organizací Save Social – Networks For Democracy.
#ccc vypadá jako velká věc v Německu a možná i trochu v Rakousku a v Holandsku a možná i jinde. Zrovna proběhl #39c3 a je z něho mnoho videí. Bylo tam taky ohlášen #DiDay .
Připadá mi, že to všechno jsou dobré a velké věci hned vedle. Neměl jsem, nemám a nebudu mít kapacitu to sledovat nebo rozvíjet nebo navazovat nebo něco. Ale:

@TaS kamarád se tam myslím vloni byl podívat. Já nějak úplně nevím. Nejsem ten správný hacker 😀 V zimě tam nemůžu dojet na solárním kole, což by pro ně možná bylo jediné okrajově zajímavé.
@funz @TaS @xChaos , děkuju. Já asi tuším, že v Česku jsou hekři a že asi spíš jsme v téhle oblasti významější než by odpovídalo počtu obyvatel. Na tom německém způsobu mě zaujalo:
Konference produkuje hafo materiálů, které jsou dostupné, a přesahuje hekování, jak obsahově tak dosahem mimo hekerské kruhy, včetně Mastodonu a médií. Vidím tam organizovanou snahu působit na společnost. Viz taky dánský příklad: f.cz/@tymoty/11581976813784719… .
Kdysi jsme mohli doufat, že politickou střechou a společenským působičem v Česku by mohla být Pirátská strana, ale tam už moc nadějí v tomto směru nevkládám.
Možná sleduju špatné účty, možná jsem na špatné platformě, ale zdá se mi, že v Česku je to hodně roztříštěné, málo organizované, málo euro-unijně propojené, málo se obracející k "široké veřejnosti".
Nechci skuhrat. Rád se dovím, co je, co funguje a jak. Děkuju za odkazy! Rád se budu bavit s lidmi, kteří s tím něco chtějí udělat.

Nebo se pustit do vyhledávače a AI chatbota, který vás nesleduje napříč internetem ani neporušuje autorská práva vědců a umělců?
Nové novoroční předsevzetí o udržitelnějším digitálním každodenním životě je dnes zahájeno kampaní „Danmark Skifter“ (Dánsko se mění), za kterou stojí dobrovolníci. Cílem je přimět Dány, aby každý sám i společně upravili své digitální návyky, abychom se mohli pomalu vymanit z klece, do které nás zejména americké technologické giganty po dvě desetiletí bez omezení zavíraly.
„Technologie nejsou jen zábavné hračky – jsou to nástroje k uplatňování moci. Naše každodenní životy a společnost jsou formovány digitálními nástroji, proto diskusi o nich nemůžeme přenechat jen geekům a politikům. Je nejvyšší čas, abychom jako občané převzali odpovědnost a prosadili změnu, kterou si přejeme,“ říká Bergliot Christensen, který stojí v čele kampaně a nově založeného sdružení Digital Stemme.
Každý druhý chce něco jiného
Stovky tisíc Dánů zjevně touží po této změně. Různé průzkumy ukazují, že přibližně polovina dánské populace si již uvědomila, že jejich digitální návyky nejsou udržitelné. ->

The #39c3 is THE yearly big event with thousands of people. But there are other yearly local events in regions where #HackerSpaces and CCC-Groups are located for eg #MRMCD in #Darmstadt.
So maybe get in touch with your local #HackerSpace and see if there are these kind of events and if not start them with peers just #DIY 😀

And that’s a genuine question, because… what are the risks here?

Greece has the highest shipping fleet in the world, contributing 13 bln eur to its annual GDP. Involve young and bright people in the politics, stop electing the same corrupt government officials, and you will have your solution where the government works for the people, not other way around.
