Of course, it’s very important to note that the right has used the magical word “Constitution!” to silence critics while not adhering to the letter and especially the spirit of America themselves. It’s impossible to calculate how corrosive to Americans these actions have been in my lifetime.

Examples: Iran Contra, Iraq war under Bush II, torture of detainees, elimination of due process for scapegoats, cheating on taxes and the general erosion of the rule of law (under Bush II and Trump).

No argument from me. They definitely have a vision and model that has been effective in many ways.

However, many Federalist adherents who got to office abandoned their ideals once faced with hard questions. The next worst thing to ignorance is people who know better and abandon their “principles”.

And if you understand the dangers and still abandon the constitution, are you better than an ignorant person?

Oh, The Hill article was just to indicate that Aileen Cannon was part of the Federalist Society.

The general consensus - even by other members of the Federalist Society is that Aileen Cannon was in over her head, her written decisions were terrible (as affirmed by the appellate courts) and she abandoned both the rule of law and her constitutional duties.

I’m not going to argue one procedural issue. Cannon sucks.

Wenn man von dem ganzen Klein-Klein hier mal abstrahiert (das zwar technisch interessant ist, aber in dem man sich gerne verliert):

Die Frage ist am Ende, wie die Last der #Energiewende verteilt wird. Und da stellt man fest: Die Industrie wird massiv subventioniert, obwohl sie den Großteil des produzierten Stroms verbraucht und die Netze nutzt.

Und Privathaushalte sollen zahlen (bzw. tun das jetzt schon).

Dass das EEG System nicht langfristig tragfähig ist, ist bekannt. Aber die "Lösung" kann m.E. nicht sein, die zu bestrafen, die ganz vorne mit dabei sind.

In Kombination mit der PV-Pflicht für Neubauten wird es nochmal kaputter.

Ich erzeuge 12MWh/a und speise 5MWh/a ein.

Gegenüber stehen 3 Mehrfamilienhäuser. Mein Strom kommt genau bis dort hin.

In Neubaugebieten mag das anders sein, aber da kann man dann ja auch gleich anders planen.

Und Netzentgelte fließen an die Übertragungsnetzbetreiber. Da sehen die kommunalen Stadtwerke keinen Cent davon.

Die Netzentgelte fließen nämlich nicht 1:1 in den Netzausbau, sondern - wenn man sich die Gewinne der großen Monopolisten anschaut, offensichtlich auch ins Jahresergebnis, die Dividenden und auch auf die Konten der Manager.

Warum wird eigentlich nicht die Industrie verpflichtet, abhängig von ihrem Strombedarf eine entsprechende Menge an PV/Speichern zu bauen?

@Chaotica @elottermann Mal abgesehen davon, dass m.E. das Stromnetz - wie auch die Wasserversorgung etc - nicht in private Hand gehören, sondern Aufgaben des Staates sind bzw. idealerweise den Bürgern gehören bzw. genossenschaftlich organisiert sein sollten.

Die Privatisierung der Netze war die gleiche neoliberale 💩 wie überall. Und jetzt haben wir eine Situation, wo mehr als ein Viertel der Stromkosten (für Private, nicht die Industrie) an diese Monopolisten geht. Toll.

@Chaotica @elottermann @diritschka Denn, let's face it: Die wenigsten packen sich #pv aus altruistischen oder Klimaschutzgründen aufs Dach. Oder #diy ohne Förderung.

In Gesprächen hier im Bekannten- und Nachbarkreis wird schnell klar: Da wird knallhart kalkuliert. Die Investition muss sich nicht schon innerhalb von ein paar Jahren rechnen (immerhin), aber bitte doch dann in spätestens 10 Jahren. Und Subventionen will man auch gerne haben.

Wenn extra Gebühren kommen, dann sind die raus.
