Still to the east of Icefields Parkway the Cline river feeds into the N. Saskatchewan river. You’ll hike above the canyons carved over time by the Cline for 2 miles before heading back while seeing 3 or 4 waterfalls (still frozen at time of hike) and have sweeping views of Sentinel mountain. On the return, you can come back the way you came (recommended) or return via a horse trail that loses the majority of the view. Hiked 5/21
The Cline river flows away from Sentinel Mountain before cutting its way into the canyon below.
The Cline river cut through this ridge over time, creating the entrance to a slot canyon. The stream quickly redirects itself as it hammers into the cliff wall.
The still frozen waterfall shows some life as a small trickle finds its way out the lower section. There were 3 or 4 still frozen falls along the trail. Black and white.

Esta semana habrá dos nuevos paros en el Garrahan
La Asociación de Profesionales y Técnicos del Hospital Garrahan (APyT) anunció dos nuevos paros para esta semana “contra” del plan de la gestión del presidente Javier Milei y del ministro de Salud, Mario Lugones, que tienen como objetivo “vaciar y destruir” la institución, según denuncia la entidad gremial.
Las nuevas medidas de fuerza que llevarán adelante los trabajadores del Hospital Garrahan, que se enmarcan en el conflicto salarial y presupuestario que atraviesa la entidad pediátrica, se llevarán a cabo el miércoles 25, donde se realizará un paro de 24 horas con permanencia en el hospital y un festival sobre la calle Combate de los Pozos, mientras que el domingo 29 habrá un paro parcial de 7 a 14, junto a una “bicicleteada” desde el Obelisco, organizada por madres y padres de pacientes.
Desde APyT, informaron que ambas medidas serán con permanencia en el hospital y con la atención de urgencias y pacientes internados.
“Viene creciendo, con mucha fuerza, la unidad de todo el equipo de salud que está firme en defender el hospital y, al mismo tiempo, el apoyo social, de las familias de los chicos que se atienden o se atendieron en el hospital. Esta química es cada vez más fuerte, está pasando ahora, y el Gobierno no puede tapar el sol con las manos”, sostuvo la secretaria general de la APyT, Norma Lezana.
En la misma línea, indicó que, de esta manera, “quedan completamente deslegitimados” tanto el ministro Lugones como las autoridades del hospital, y criticó que, en vez de dar respuesta al conflicto, “abandonan a pacientes y al equipo de salud”.
“En lugar de garantizar el derecho a la salud de los niños, niñas y adolescentes y el derecho de las y los trabajadores a un salario, con condiciones dignas de trabajo, mienten, amenazan y destruyen. Siguen renunciando profesionales, las autoridades niegan que existe la crisis, se esconden detrás de mensajes persecutorios y amenazas a los correos personales de las y los trabajadores sin firma”, aseguró.
Por otra parte, desde APyT reiteraron el reclamo de “una recomposición salarial del 100%” y un salario inicial igual al valor de la canasta familiar, estimado en 1.800.000 pesos, para todos los sectores del hospital, no sólo quienes pertenezcan a planta permanente, sino también a contratados, residentes y becarios.
