Advocates are urging Senate Republicans to reject a proposal to cut billions from American healthcare to extend tax breaks that primarily benefit the wealthy and corporations.
The proposal would make historic cuts to Medicaid, the public health insurance program for low-income and disabled people that covers 71 million Americans, and is the Senate version of the “big beautiful bill” act, which contains most of Donald Trump’s legislative agenda.
“With the text released earlier this week, somehow the Senate made the House’s ‘big, bad budget bill’ worse in many ways,” said Anthony Wright, the executive director of Families USA, a consumer healthcare advocacy group, in a press call.

New release: The long anticipated X-Out: Resurfaced soundtrack is now available on my Bandcamp! The classic X-Out underwater shooter game was released in 1989 and was my first big Amiga project. It was an important stepping stone to my next big project, which was Turrican.
With X-Out I was "testing the water" so to speak, figuring out all the possibilities of my (then) newly developed TFMX sound tool. The soundtrack became pretty short loops, particularly the ingame tracks, because of the limitations back then. I always felt that my original compositions for X-Out had a lot more potential, and when Ziggurat acquired the IP with the other Rainbow Arts titles and announced a reimagined, updated new version of the game, I saw a chance to enhance and extend the music to its full potential!
Thanks to Ziggurat for also allowing me to now release the soundtrack on my Bandcamp, check it out! I feel this is one of my best works!
