WaPo has a good story about how an impostor pretending to be Secretary of State Marco Rubio contacted foreign ministers, a U.S. governor and a member of Congress by sending them voice and text messages that mimic Rubio’s voice and writing style using artificial intelligence-powered software.
From the story:
"Using both text messaging and the encrypted messaging app Signal, which the Trump administration uses extensively, the impostor “contacted at least five non-Department individuals, including three foreign ministers, a U.S. governor, and a U.S. member of Congress,” said the cable, dated July 3."
"The impersonation campaign began in mid-June when the impostor created a Signal account using the display name “Marco.Rubio@state.gov” to contact unsuspecting foreign and domestic diplomats and politicians, said the cable. The display name is not his real email address."
“The actor left voicemails on Signal for at least two targeted individuals and in one instance, sent a text message inviting the individual to communicate on Signal,” said the cable. It also noted that other State Department personnel were impersonated using email."

Why do I refer to the bike as a "lamplighter"? In the old days lamp lighting was a job. A lamp lighter went around in the evening usually with a ladder and lit up each gas powered lamp post in turn.
Some of the people doing this job had specialist bikes made that were very tall. Then they could just cycle between each one, hold on (or lean) and light them without needing the ladder.
The design here is classic lamplighter bike style, albeit scaled down. A real lamplighter would be over 7 foot.
We have some gorgeous lilies in flower at the moment, which complement the daylilies wonderfully.
This one is Lilium. leichtlinii var. IWASHIMAZU.
A tall and wiry stemmed liliy with darker stems in spring
Rising to around 2 metres eventually. It was introduced as seed by Mr Arakawa of Japan and presented to the RHS.
It is said to be more delicate and elegant than the mass produced L leichtlinii from the Netherlands and other places.
Bud count varies between 5 and 11.
