- "Trickle down", like the Laffer Curve, bears no relation to real life. It was a way to justify the unjustifiable huge remuneration increases at the top (just as the Laffer Curve was simultaneously arguing that lower taxation would increase the tax take overall. It is the economics of fairy tales.
