TL;DR: Be intentional. Find your community, and control your algorithm(s). I left Twitter in the winter of 2022 after about 15 years as a power user. During the intervening years I’ve learned a lot about myself and social media.
I am wrestling with both right now. One my biggest gripes in Bsky is the limited post length. I work best when I can can get a full complete thought out with citations and quotes. Mastodon (at least this instance) has a 500 character limit. That works for me. 300 characters on bsky is just too confining. I hate it.
I've found myself sort of microblogging more here lately, but engagement on bsky (at least in my nerd circles) is pretty good, so I'm there too.

Download the #Linux binary file, and put it under a local folder (e.g. uncompress it under ~/Applications/). Then edit its /config/simuconf.tab to uncomment and change the option singleuser_install to 1. This will save all downloaded paks & save data on its own folder, instead of your home folder.
