States have been fully isolated, invaded, and overthrown for less. But Israel gets to keep doing it, and even gets help.

Nigella Lawson wrote a pithy takedown in one of her books about "clean eating", which she said combined the worst aspects of Nazism/fascism and, I believe, puritanism. That current bubbles close to the surface frequently, to the point where it seems like following sound advice--like eating WFPB--is an entree to a cult.
