Perciò via i suoni stravaganti e i mille pedali che hanno caratterizzato per anni il suono della sua chitarra, ma solo strumenti che servono al jangle- psych californiano: chitarra acustica, chitarra elettrica, basso e batteria. C’è meno urgenza in For The Recently Found Innocent e si percepisce di più la forza crescente della composizione di White Fence. Rispetto agli stessi due dischi precedenti, “Family Perfume Vol. 2“ (2012) e “Cyclops Reap” (2013) c’è più chiarezza e sicurezza nello scrivere canzoni, che inevitabilmente predispone all’ascolto.
