Ich empfehle @linuxmint allen, die ihren bestehenden #Computer weiter nutzen möchten und sich weigern, ein tadellos funktionierendes Gerät nur deshalb zu "entsorgen", weil #Windows 11 nicht darauf laufen wird.
Nicht, weil Mint die beste "Variante" (Distribution, oder "Distro") aller Zeiten ist, sondern weil es eine gute ist, die Windows ähnelt und den Umstieg erleichtert.
Ich weiß, nach dem Einstieg werden sich viele irgendwann umsehen und auch andere Distributionen ausprobieren.
Wer Hilfe von Gleichgesinnten beim Umstieg auf #Linux benötigt, findet sie möglicherweise ganz nahe, in der eigenen Region. Einfach mal den Ort suchen, unter endof10.org/

in reply to fanta 🐌 • • •para mí es el “sense of wonder”, esa sensación de descubrir cosas nuevas, desconocidas y entenderlas. Como cuando eres pequeño y en tu imaginación no ves un juguete descolorido con una pieza rota, si no que ves una nave espacial que puede ir más rápido que la luz, y no ves una figura con un trozo de papel de aluminio pegado, si no que es un héroe capaz de superar cualquier problema e inspirar a los demás.
Cuando vuelvo a ver esas películas y capítulos de Star Trek antiguas lo primero que veo no es la falta de presupuesto ni su cutrez (que lo tiene). Veo aventuras e historias que hacen despertar la imaginación y te hacen pensar. Evidentemente hay algunas mejores que otras, pero ningún espectáculo puede ser consistente todo el tiempo.

in reply to fanta 🐌 • • •Yo no es que haga la vista gorda, es que me encanta. Creo que esa cutrez tan obvia y a la vez propia de la época tiene su encanto, y yo creo que en su momento le dieron muchas vueltas para que funcionase todo.
Me pasa igual con Doctor Who. Las últimas temporadas están chulas, sí, pero mis favoritas van a ser siempre las de entre 2005 y 2010 por lo increíblemente cutres que eran. El toque hogareño, como decía la princesa Fiona en la primera de Shrek.

in reply to fanta 🐌 • • •es una serie de ciencia ficción en la que la humanidad saca lo mejor de si misma para acabar con las guerras y el hambre, los conflictos se resuelven hablando, se acoge y respeta a los diferentes, los que ascienden en la cadena de mando son los que más cuidan a sus subordinados, y se hace caso de las recomendaciones de los científicos.
A cambio de eso no me importa si tengo que creerme que la mitad de los planetas de la galaxia construyen castillos medievales por alguna casualidad

in reply to fanta 🐌 • • •Yo no he sido nunca fan de Star Trek (la verdad, he visto poquísimo) pero es que es historia de la televisión, de la ciencia ficción y de la cultura friki.
Desde la inocencia de su fantasía planteó muchas cuestiones universales en un medio popular (con ideas que aún hoy siguen siendo consideradas progresistas) que han calado durante generaciones, y con una identidad propia que sólo puede tener por ser hija de su tiempo.
Escuché que en un principio tenía un amplio público femenino, hasta que se convirtió en algo "guay" y las echaron 🙄
