C’è una piccola grande Italia nascosta, borghi sparsi da Nord a Sud. Territori dove è sempre più difficile incontrare bambini che giocano e giovani che passeggiano. Il cuore dell’Italia che ha un battito sempre più lento e affaticato, ma dal temperamento determinato e tenace, con tanta voglia di riscatto. Quando si parla di codesti luoghi, lo si fa con la nostalgia del passato, ma è doveroso raccontarli con la complessità del presente e la necessità del futuro. Si potrebbe coniare un termine ricco di significato che ben sintetizzare l’essenza dei piccoli territori: “locanza”.

The map is wrong again and my distance underestimated.
I did exactly the same route forward and back, following the river, but at some point the map shows that I cut through streets.
I had to stop to take a picture of this group of rowers moving synchronously and chanting in unison "oh, oh, oh". It was a cheerful view, despite the rain.
