Happy to report my JVC TD-W10 stereo cassette deck is running beautifully.
No hiss, no buzz, no clunky mechanical racket. Wow and flutter? If it’s there, my ears can’t catch it. The dynamic range feels surprisingly wide for a deck from this era.
The only thing missing is Dolby C—but honestly, I never relied on it, so it’s no loss.
Mix tapes are about to make a comeback in my house.
