Using the word "antifa" obscures its meaning needlessly and makes it sound like something foreign. A lot of people don't even know it's an abbreviation of anti-fascist.

in reply to Martin Nutty • • •That's the problem: you can't have antifascism without violence, without property damage. In fact, the only logical conclusion to antifascism is anarchism. Anarchism is literally opposition to all forms of hierarchy, which always lead to authoritarianism.
We really need to learn what authoritarianism is, where it comes from, what violence is and where it is, if we want to fight it. Pushing for non-violence only furthers authoritarianism, unfortunately.

Certainly being anti fascist is a real thing. It’s an affliction I proudly suffer from.
However the #MAGA folks want to convince their adherents that it is a sinister centralized command and control thing rather than a political perspective.
Declaring war on #ANTIFA gives #Trumpism the opportunity to investigate and silence anyone who is critical of the regime
