Die Moderation anderer Social-Media-Plattformen ist so kaputt: Es werden ganz offensichtlich rechtswidrige und verachtenswerte Inhalte nicht mehr gelöscht. Das ist seit Jahren so. Wie man so durchkommt, ist mir unbegreiflich. Aber auch, wie wir das als #Gesellschaft akzeptieren.
#Mastodon bleibt ein guter Ausgleich, der zunehmend besser wird. Es ist nicht perfekt, es ist nicht pauschal besser, aber es macht vieles richtig, was auf lange Sicht elementar ist.

Yes, I believe so (I think David Lange said something to the effect that even drug dealers pay GST?).
But GST is also regressive - poor people pay more, as a proportion of their income and wealth, which is a really negative outcome. So we probably need to put more effort into making progressive taxes unavoidable, rather than just lazily increasing GST.
