On the one hand, it is a pain that my proxmox box is broken, although quite how broken, I don't yet know.
On the other hand, oh well, it is just a good test of business continuity planning. I can restore from backups onto other hardware, and keep going.
And if the backups cannot be restored (already tested, so it should not be an issue), then this has unearthed a more important problem.
