@Troggie I was trying to find my reference photo for "why I shoot in RAW" when we were talking about it the other day, and I came across it while looking for something else.
The first image is as it came out of the camera, with the exposure metered on the bright sky and beach outside the cave. Lots of detail inside the cave is hidden in shadow, and a JPEG would throw all that data away. But it's still there in a RAW and you can bring it out with some simple processing.

Hi there fellow software developers and other tech people. I am a software developer from Germany and I am currently thinking about visiting #FOSDEM to find a new job.
I know there is a job corner, but do any of you know if it makes sense to visit FOSDEM mainly to find a new job? Getting there is not that cheap, so I would probably not go for the conference alone, although I love the concept and I am a fan of Open Source-software.
