Polish president Karol Nawrocki responding to Mark Rutte's comment that "we need Donald Trump in the European Union", meaning EU strategically needs US as an ally for its own security:

Nawrocki had been historically associated with the Polish right, just as majority of conservative partie in Central and Eastern Europe, seeing US Republicans as the critical European ally who helped dismantle USSR and allowed them to regain independence in 1991.It however seems seems like recent Trump unpredictable stunts have shifted his thinking from uncritical reliance on the US as primary provider of European security into more realistic approach, where Europe must ensure its security on its own before relying over overseas allies.

Though in this context, it might be much more subtle: why rejecting their inclusion at Play, when you already can shovel dirt on them before they even apply (by maliciously marking them malicious)? And it pretty much looks like the latter here: of course would they not accept any apps known for being malicious, right? So create the facts you need?
