@Friendica Support Hi everyone. I noticed that if I insert the ActivityPub link of any Friendica post, any WhatsApp, Telegram, Matrix, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn message, no preview is generated.

From what I understand It's a problem related to not handling #OpenGraph, but I'm not sure.

I would like to understand if it is a deliberate choice by the developers, and if so I would be interested in understanding the reason for this choice.

If, on the other hand, this is not the case, I would be curious to know if it is not possible to modify some parameters within the settings of the Friendica server. And, if so, what impact this change might have on how well the software runs.

@Signor Amministratore Aaaah, I understand now, there's no preview generated for Friendica posts in 3rd party platforms. You're right, we probably aren't handling OpenGraph at all for conversations.

Is there a way to independently handle the problem at the style sheet level? Or is it necessary to develop this feature on the two remaining themes in Friendica? Or worse, working on Friendica code?

Unfortunately this lack determines a disadvantage in "promotional" terms. Friendica posts have the graphic capacity of any blog, but by quoting them you only get a link (very long... 😅) without a preview...

@Signor Amministratore A year later, I've looked into it because of another report of the the same behavior, and we have correctly implementing OpenGraph but the Blockbot addon is blocking third-party requests to create the link previews.
