It depends on how much power the board has over the product. I think this is not going to amount to much change unless he can exert power over other board members.

If he could make changes my feeling is the rules around vitriol and misinformation would go away leading to the reinstatement of several accounts; including the Orange One.

But again, its not a direct line to that kind of power, and its not clear how Musk will navigate a board for a company he wasn't part of early on.

I agree, I think some bans will be retracted, because the The Guy With The Sink needs to demonstrate his powers. And the greates idiots getting re-banned again. I wonder whether something changes for how Twitter works technically.

Also I'm curious whether this now actually incentivises more people established on Twitter to explore the Fediverse. I heard the Fedi (a.k.a. "Mastodon" πŸ™„) referenced noticably more already.

And yeah, there's the Angry Orange. That will be fun to watch. πŸ˜ƒπŸΏ

silly, Elon Musk, the Sink

I got it now.

On Thursday Elon Musk was literally tweeting: "Entering Twitter HQ – let that sink in!"

I understand now that he was talking about himself in the third person. Having some random luggage with him was just incidental, unfortunately leading to wide misinterpretation.

Following his example, we shall henceforth refer to him as the Sink.
