Twitter apps are still broken and Musk is still silent! News about Twitter integration in Friendica?

It’s been a few days since pretty much every major third-party Twitter client broke, and developers say they still haven’t heard anything from the company about what’s going on. The issues seemed to begin on Thursday evening, with some users reporting that they were getting errors related to authentication.

Is anyone experiencing issues with Twitter integration in Friendica?

@Signor Amministratore No, we asked around yesterday but it looks like only the major Twitter apps were targeted. Since Friendica admins have to set up an app each, they probably are flying under the radar.

So far, Twitter is still working here. I'm debating whether to shut it off for new users or even whether or not I should keep it on my own user account. For now, everything I post on my Friendica still shows up on Twitter, but I'm sure there will come a time when they turn that off or ban me from Twitter for using a third-party app to post. For now, I'm keeping it turned on for myself, but I see myself being forced to leave Twitter completely at some point due to the all-too-great power of one man to bend a whole social network to his own will.

So within minutes after I post that it still works for me, I think Twitter just killed my bridge addon. I have not received a single tweet in my Friendica timeline for about an hour now, and my last Friendica post that made it to Twitter found itself there early this afternoon. Incidentally, my Friendica seems to be running a bit faster today, probably because it no longer receives tweets and adds them to the database. I did check to be sure that my worker daemon is in fact still running. So I guess I must disable my twitter addon for sure now. It was a nice ride Twitter, but we have come to the end of the line and must part ways now. I'm off to the greener pastures of the Fediverse, even though it will no longer post to any of the walled gardens on my behalf. Twitter has only been a fallback for me for a while now, and they just took that fallback away, so it's all good really.
