Can anyone tell me why it is no longer possible to search for users in Friendica, using the wording @userid@instance.domain?

Good morning everyone !Friendica Admins

I noticed that for some time now it is no longer possible to search for users of the fediverse using the wording @userid@instance.domain, but you need to indicate the complete link of the profile...

Although with Friendica, unlike mastodon, it was necessary to insert the @ before the user and it has always been practically impossible to find users even with a simple userid, this possibility was there and it worked. Not anymore today

The problem is that it is not very practical to remember that the different ways in which links of friendica, mastodon, pleroma, misskey users are written, not to mention the difference in links between lemmy communities and lemmy users...

Can anyone tell me what the problem is? And above all, if it is necessary to open an issue on github?

@Signor Amministratore Where did you enter this WebFinger address to search on a profile? Would you be able to share the offending handle or is it systematic? Have you tried with a contact that exists on your node?

@Hypolite Petovan I just tried searching for the user @hypolite@friendica.mrpetovan.com (😅) on these instances:
- poliverso.org
- friends.polli.social
- libranet.de
- friendica.vrije-mens.org

And I could never find the user... So I think it's a systemic problem

Yeah, I discovered the bug as well. I already isolated it, but I don't find the cause. Some class isn't working like expected.

Not at the moment. I'm still at work.

@Hypolite Petovan@Michael Vogel it works with the URL and when you enter the @user@example.org it will autocomplete it and suggest the user, but even when you click on the suggestion it does not work.

@utzer [Friendica]@Hypolite Petovan@Michael Vogel Search still works with this release: 202023.03-dev (friendica.eskimo.com); otherwise, with release 2023.04-1 (venera.social) the search no longer works

@Signor Amministratore because it is broken... I saw that, but was to lazy to submit an issue.
