Official PeerTube app out now:

:android: play.google.com/store/apps/det…

:apple_old_logo: apps.apple.com/app/peertube/id…

(coming soon to F-Droid)

How to add more servers:

1. Click Explore
2. Click "Show More Platforms"
3. Click the + icon in top right
4. Enter server's web address & connect
5. Click "Platforms" at the bottom to browse added servers

App is missing a lot of features, but it is not the developers' fault (framablog.org/2024/12/10/peert…). See reply below for how to get these features.

You can get a much, much better experience in PeerTube if you bypass Apple and Google by using PeerTube web apps instead.

The PeerTube web apps let you sign in with your account and do everything you'd do on the website, plus the benefit of using your phone's notifications system and having a full window interface.

Here is how to install web apps for PeerTube servers (or any other kind of Fediverse server):

You can install multiple servers as multiple web apps.

i could never figure out how to upload from mobile using the web app.
the native apps have no option for uploads but the web app just doesn't complete the upload.

The app has a very non-native feeling to it. Also, on iOS I can’t exit the fullscreen video player.

If it is free and open source software, you can put all the features you like in the version you provide to F-Droid. Fully half, I suspect, of the Android users in the world are bypassing Google.
