Bluesky suspending antifascist researchers for sharing publicly available information about literal nazis.

Should be no surprise considering bsky constantly protects nazis, the far right, and all flavors of bigotry at the expense of Palestinians and trans women.

Fortunately, their information already spread so far and wide that at least half of the Blood Tribe nazis lost their jobs following the mass doxx. Chris Pohlhaus, leader of BT, estimated financial losses at over $2 million lol. Happy holidays!

When I was the CIO for a federal contractor, I hired a new Helpdesk tech from the tech college who was black, and my Helpdesk had 3 people on it - the Helpdesk supervisor, another tech and this kid. The other tech came into my office and is like "why did you hire him?" Little boy, are you lost? Walking into a CIO's office questioning hiring decisions isn't smart. I'm like "He's a tech student" "But he's black" Yup. I never fire on the spot, but I did this dude. No patience for it

@JessTheUnstill Well, he wasn't quite _that_ direct. I made this guy train the new kid. The new kid hadn't even been there 2 hours, and this dude is like "I can't work with him. Why did you hire him?" I'm like "Is there a problem? He's only been here two hours" "I can't work with people like him" "Like him" "Yes. He's black". I'm like "whoah dude, you need to turn tail right now if you still want your job". He didn't turn tail.

Yeah, it would be great to see that original post repeated here for obvious reasons. I would love to see a list of the wrong kind of people put someplace where it won’t be taken down.

@claudinec

And it’s not the screenshot it post I’m referring to, it is the publicly available police reports that they published on blue sky, which I’m sure runs for on for a while.

If the post has been taken down, it doesn’t matter if I had an account

@GhostOnTheHalfShell
The list of 22 of 23 Nazi names and where they come from is in this article as well. You could archive it in the Wayback Machine.

it sounds like you're doing good work. Thank you Alyssa and svart

this is why I joined mastodon instead of bluesky. Bluesky is open in theory, but closed in practise, and this is exactly what I fear -- IPOs, funding rounds, and private equity making them work for the rich. I can smell it.

I'm curious if moving to blacksky.community/ is an option. This seems like the sort of situation @rude1.blacksky.team would want to support.
in reply to Weird Socks

@ohmu as I heard Blacksky has most own infra, but somehow it's still possible to ban someone from Blacksky by Bluesky and they becomes invisible to Blacksky users too :/

@madargon
Now I'm curious. That isn't my understanding but I'm a dilletante at best.

@Alissa Azar If only the #Mastodon developers prioritized integrating sharing and subscribing to block lists and account labellers. Many people back at Bluesky depend on lists and labellers to remain sufficiently safe from harassment in real time, and are reticent to join the Fediverse unless an equivalent is available.
