I've moved instance, so here's my #introduction.

Currently I do History Walks in Venice, where I live.

I ran a kayaking business in Venice for over ten years.

I worked in IT for some time, mostly sysadm, web, lots of Perl, Linux, SQL.

I once tried academia but it didn't make me happy. However, I wrote a book about the Sicilian mafia.

I spent about ten years at university, and had lots of fun, and got a MSc in CS & math, and MA in history & Italian. Wrote GNU M4.
