Question for @murena, #eOS

I have a Fairphone 5 with eOS. One of my apps tells me that it needs to be updated to work. But when I click on "Update" it brings me to the lounge where the only option is to open (not update it).
Going straight to Lounge shows no update available for anything.

What should I do? ๐Ÿ™

I'm not using e/OS/ but I had a similar problem years ago. I think I solved it by clearing the cache of the app that manages the update (in my case it was Google Play Store).

Or maybe the cache of the app that doesn't get updated? Sorry... it was something "cache related" but I can't remember.

Maybe @WeAreFairphone knows something more?

Oh, also we still can't review apps, nor see the reviews from other users, on the AppLounge.. Are you planning to fix this at some point? ๐Ÿ™

Hello and thanks for reaching out! Do you have the Murena Fairphone 5 from us or have you installed the build yourself? If yes, which one is it? Have you installed the 3.3 update? We show review ratings for all apps from the Play Store currently and we would love to add the ability to review + show reviews from fellow /e/OS users, but this is not on the short-term roadmap. Thanks for your support and letting us know of your wishes and needs for /e/OS!

Hi agaon @murena, I have updated my Fairphone5 to the latest OS version (e/OS/ v3.3) and I am still having exactly the same problems as before:

  1. One of my apps ("SNCF Connect") requests to be updated to function but no update for it is available when I go to the App Lounge. This is a crucial app for transport and I kind of need it to work reliably..
  2. I still can't see user reviews for apps on the App Lounge, maybe I am missing something but nothing is different from before the update, for example here is a screenshot of the Github app page - it shows some kind of averaged out score but no individual reviews, it is impossible to know that the users actually say about it or if it works well on my OS.

Edit: I got the phone with eOS preinstalled from Murena directly.

maybe a stupid suggestion, but sometimes it helps to clear the App Lounge cache to go from "open" to "update" for an app in the App Lounge.
