#GIMP 3 is a really impressive piece of FOSS software. Given the lack of stable financial funding they really achieved something there, even if it took long.
What I hope though is that they, if that stuff comes up, won't prevent implementations of Machine-Learning stuff (mind that I specifically do *not* mean "generative"). There's huge potential for things like the magic wand tool, and modern GPUs and NPUs absolutely have the capacities to run such things.
