È stato estradato dalla Spagna ed è ora in Italia uno degli indagati nell’ambito della maxi-operazione #MILLENNIUM, coordinata dalla Direzione Distrettuale Antimafia di Reggio Calabria.
L’uomo è accusato di associazione per delinquere finalizzata al traffico di sostanze stupefacenti aggravata, ed è ritenuto parte integrante del sistema criminale smantellato dai Carabinieri del Comando Provinciale reggino.
Fondamentale per la sua cattura è stato il tempestivo intervento dell’Unità I-CAN (Interpol Cooperation Against ‘Ndrangheta) del Servizio per la Cooperazione Internazionale di Polizia (#SCIP) della Direzione Centrale della Polizia Criminale. Una volta localizzato in territorio spagnolo, in stretta intesa con i militari dell’Arma, è stata richiesta la collaborazione all’ #UDYCO (Unidad de Droga y Crimen Organizado Central) della Policía Nacional spagnola, che ha permesso di arrestare il soggetto.
