En cause : la carrière exploitée depuis plus de 40 ans par la SADG, filiale du groupe Audemard, multinationale spécialisée dans l’extraction de granulats dans les territoires d'outremer.
Malgré un arrêté préfectoral interdisant toute activité sur site, les riverains assistent, impuissants, à la poursuite des travaux.
Le 10 janvier 2025, nos caméras filment l'activité en zone interdite. Il faudra attendre une décision de justice pour suspendre, temporairement, l’exploitation.
Depuis, un bras de fer judiciaire est engagé entre 16 habitants et la multinationale. Une expertise indépendante est attendue pour le 31 août.
Deshaies, le village classé parmi les plus beaux de France est devenu le symbole d’un affrontement : Celui des habitants de l'ile face aux logiques capitalistes et écocides.
