Yes. I started doing that at one point and have never looked back. Just having to copy paste my answers gives me more time to keep up with the other replies. It also prevents a lot of typos, and I have more time to think things over and add stuff to my answers. It's just more relaxing this way for me. #MakersHour
I sometimes look at the questions but I forget to look more often than not. I'm really not an organised person. I have been trying to be better but it has only worked for a few days at a time. #MakersHour

Usually check them out if I'm going to be free, and if I have something particularly relevent I'll cue up some replies and media to hit "post" on. It's a hectic thing to do "live" sometimes.

A4: I wing it and see what happens! I think if I did it in advance, I’d overthink my answers. With my brain, you can’t give it too much warning of what’s coming up.

I’ve probably said this before but when I started birding in 2016 or so, Loggerhead shrike was on the list of common birds in my area so I figured I’d see one pretty quickly. I didn’t know they were in decline largely due to habitat loss and it was maybe three years before I finally found one. And not on the mainland but on Limuw (Santa Cruz island). That’s still my most reliable spot to see them. I don’t have any trips planned (waiting out this NPS drama) but I have many good memories.

Adventure of Samsara dropped today on Steam, GOG, and consoles—and right away, it’s stirring the pot.
You play as the Solar Champion, a long-dead Plutonian resurrected by the Sun to set the multiverse back in order. Which, in practice, means exploring labyrinthine castles and frozen wastes, hacking down the undead, picking up hidden augments, and slowly becoming an unstoppable force. It’s very Metroidvania: ten biomes, tough bosses, and secrets tucked into every corner.
Now, the controversy. Atari slapped “Adventure” into the title—obviously a wink at the 2600’s Adventure, the proto-RPG that invented the concept of the “Easter egg.” But let’s be clear: this game has nothing to do with Adventure. The branding is pure jiu-jitsu.
In fact, Atari had no hand in this until fairly recently. The game started life back in 2016 as Tower of Samsara, a crowdfunded project that never met its goals. Years later, Atari swept in, put their stamp on it, and now here we are with Adventure of Samsara.
Does it stand on its own? Absolutely. It’s pensive, deliberate, and puzzle-minded in a way that feels more Prince of Persia than Castlevania.
Actually, it looks more like something you’d have seen on an Atari ST in 1989 than on a 2600. And now I kind of wish it actually got that ST demake, because the chunky pixels and vibrant colours would feel right at home there. Snow falls, torches flicker, reflections shimmer off stone walls—the world feels alive.
The audio carries the same care. Everything has a drenched-in-reverb atmosphere: sometimes quiet and contemplative, sometimes pounding with urgency. It feels like weather, bleeding into your ears.
Control-wise, I ran it on a keyboard and was shocked at how good it felt—tight, precise, and, dare I say, better than gamepad. But Xbox and PlayStation controllers work just fine if couch gaming is your thing.
Tech specs are feather-light: a Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, and a 1 GB DX10 card will run it. It’s native on Windows, Mac, and Linux—no Proton required—and it’s already Steam Deck Verified with the green checkmark.
As for price, it launched with a 10% discount off $19.99 USD—C$23.39 here in Canada. For a thoughtful Metroidvania with ten biomes and native Linux support, that’s more than fair.
