Tatsächlich ist es für die Fluggesellschaften durchaus sinnvoll, den größten deutschen Linienflughafen und den größten deutschen Charterflughafen zu verbinden.
Besonders für Condor, die in beiden Bereichen mitspielen.
Klar, man spart nicht wirklich Reisezeit gegenüber einer direkten Bahnverbindung, aber: Die Bahn ist wegen mangelnder Zuverlässigkeit keine Alternative und Reisende müssten ihr Gepäck selbst transportieren (inklusive auf Ausgabe warten und neu aufgeben).
Ökologisch ist das natürlich nicht und wenn wir denn eine vernünftige Verkehrspolitik hätten, würden wir auch nicht den Flugverkehr subventionieren, sondern nach Möglichkeiten suchen, das Ganze besser zu organisieren.
Ich argumentiere nicht pro-Fluggesellschaften, sondern ich stelle nur fest, wie die Profitlogik dieser Firmen und die Bequemlichkeitslogik ihrer Kunden funktioniert.
Wenn wir gegen so eine Idee sind¹, müssen wir schon verstehen, warum andere Leute das klasse finden.
@Mina von bahnhof zu bahnhof dauert das anderthalb stunden. mit sicherheitswartezeit vor der abfahrt vllt 2 stunden. von abfahrtsort zu stadtziel kann ich mir keinen flug vorstellen, der da schneller ist. und gepäck dürfte unerheblich sein, die paar notebooks, die das businesspack da mit sich schleppt, fallen bei keinem transportmittel auf. als statussymbol ist das hingegen vermutlich wirklich ein renner.

I'm looking for a smart plug or something that can monitor the power usage of my home server over the day/week. Lots of these are available but many seem to be tied into cloud services and I'd like to keep that data to myself and use open tools to visualise it.

Ich störe mich sehr an der Idee, immer alles über Preise regeln zu wollen.
Reiche können dann einfach weitermachen, wie sie gerade Bock haben und alle anderen sind gekniffen.
Ein Verbot für Flüge unter 400 km wäre schon in Ordnung, aber anders als Frankreich oder Spanien haben wir halt keine zuverlässige und schnelle Bahn.
Das war und ist politisch leider so gewollt, macht es aber schwieriger, etwas schnell durchzusetzen.

Düsseldorf ist aber vor allem Charterflughafen und Condor ist im Wesentlichen eine Fluglinie für Urlaubsreisen.
Was Geschäftsreisen betrifft:
Von Frankfurt starten auch gerade die Interkontinentalflüge - da nehmen auch Businessfuzzis Gepäck mit.

Es geht darum, dass das beides (vor allem FFM) Hubs sind.
Niemand wird einfach nur von Frankfurt nach Düsseldorf fliegen.
