ICE sets new deportation plan for Kilmar Abrego Garcia after he blocked 22 countries with fear claims
President Donald Trump's Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been engaged in an ongoing legal battle to remove Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal alien from El Salvador, from the United States.
'That claim of fear is hard to take seriously, especially given that you have claimed (through your attorneys) that you fear persecution or torture in at least 22 different countries.'
A letter obtained by Fox News revealed that ICE has plans to deport Abrego Garcia to Eswatini, a small country in Southern Africa.
Last month, a federal judge blocked ICE from deporting Abrego Garcia to Uganda.
"As you know, the United States seeks to remove you from the United States based on your final order of removal," ICE wrote in a letter to Abrego Garcia on Friday. "Currently, you are designated to be removed to Uganda. Your attorney has informed us, however, that you fear persecution or torture in Uganda."
The letter went on to list nearly two dozen countries — including El Salvador, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Honduras — where Abrego Garcia expressed similar fears.

Abrego Garcia was previously deported in March to El Salvador's CECOT prison, but returned to the U.S. in June to face human trafficking charges. He pleaded not guilty.
The federal government has accused Abrego Garcia of engaging in "extensive criminal activities since he has been in the United States," including being an MS-13 gang member, which he denies.

Abrego Garcia is currently being held in a detention center in Farmville, Virginia, while he awaits deportation following a judge's 2019 order of removal.
"This man is a suspected terrorist known to affiliate and be friends with MS-13 members. He's an extremely dangerous individual," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem told Newsmax. "A known wife-beater. This is someone that should never be free in the United States of America, and bringing him to justice is incredibly important to the safety of the American people."

- c'est un terme relatif à un ensemble d'idées jugées normales, idées pouvant elle même être considérées comme extrêmes dans un autre référentiel (néolibéralisme actuel par exemple)
- c'est une façon de transformer le respect humain/non humain, la justice sociale en une opinion comme une autre, que l'on peux ranger avec les discours haineux, racistes..
- c'est de la paresse intellectuelle qui fait que l'on ne met pas les vrais mots sur ces idées, ça favorise la pensée en kit.

Klein and Thompson do not seem to realize that their proposals would also entail large-scale redistribution and that the ills they seek to cure are the result of inequality rather than regulation, because they do not seem to understand how prices and property work in capitalism. Translating higher profits to shorter workweeks would require a scale of redistribution that far outstrips anything Bernie Sanders has proposed. Claiming that profits will be shared because they are based on “the collective knowledge of humanity” opens up a wider set of imperatives than they realize. Most profit, labor, and technology is in some way built on the collective knowledge of humanity, in the sense that education, work, and knowledge are shared, social, and cumulative, and all workers are the result of collective social reproduction."

Ieri mi si è danneggiato qualcosa a livello di apparecchio, a causa di un boccone troppo croccante.
Si è un po' piegato l'arco in un punto in cui c'è del vuoto.
Lunedì telefonerò per sapere se posso andare avanti così fino a ottobre o se devo andare a farlo sistemare.
Stamani mi sono svegliata con una forte emicrania che non passa nonostante la tachipirina.
Non so se dipenda dal problema all'apparecchio.
Comunque non passa.

Gustavino Bevilacqua @0ciX funziona anche come antidolorifico per alcuni tipi di dolore, e mi risulta anche contro alcune emicranie ma non tutte (e così a memoria come medicinale da banco era quello consigliato, quelli più efficaci contro l'emicrania sono poi con prescrizione, ma non son sicura al 100% di ricordare correttamente)
quindi insomma, serve qualcuno con competenza medica per rispondere

per i (fortunatamente) rarissimi attacchi di emicrania a me l'ibuprofene fa più effetto. di solito prendo 1 ibuprofene da 600 alla comparsa dell'aura, e cui aggiungo un paracetamolo da 1000 qualche ora dopo (e nel frattempo mi stendo al buio e in silenzio).

@kasperd @tripplehelix Indeed, I have seen some "extend the pattern of dots" attempts before, and yes, you can get away with one pixel whitespace usually. You may be able to get away with whitespace only around the targets even.
I have also played with making the padding bytes such that there is a (valid and ECC valid) pattern in the QR image itself.
It’s a Motorola phone, and I downloaded the Barcode Scanner app from Play store.
The way you constructed that QR code is slightly different from the method I imagined, but the result is the same.
If you find it interesting to play with the look of QR codes I have another idea you can try if you think it will be fun. The background for this idea is that at some point I saw somebody had made a heart-shaped QR code, which however was so broken that it was utterly unreadable.
I thought it surely must be possible to do better. And my idea was to do the following:
- First create a completely standard QR code.
- Next draw two semicircles next to the QR code - one to the right and one beneath it.
- Fill each semicircle with random black and white squares to give a visual appearance of a continuation of the grid within the QR code.
- Rotate the image 135⁰ counter-clockwise.
The result will look mostly like a heart shape and contain a fully readable QR code. The visual appearance can be improved by letting the semicircles overlap the white quite-zone of the QR code. Then it will no longer be standards compliant and might become less readable for a phone.
Another way the visual appearance could be improved would be to draw an outline around the whole thing. That outline would need to lie outside the quiet-zone on the two sides of the QR code and the same distance away from the semicircles along the rest of the perimiter.
