Ci vuole un po', perché l'elastico vecchio era cucito dentro e bisogna disfare tutto e poi ricucire.
A cucire ho imparato, fino a qualche anno fa non ero capace.
Perdo tempo?
Magari li butto: vado al supermercato, li compro nuovi per pochi euro, fine.
Perdo tempo con l'orto a studiare le piante e le stagioni e cercare di far venir su i semini invece di comprare le piantine o la verdura già fatta.
Perdo un sacco di tempo dietro al pc cercando di capire come funzionano le cose...
Ma cosa ci farei con tutto il tempo se evitassi di perderlo?
Potrei fare il bravo ingranaggio della nostra società produttiva, lavorare e comprare, come i lombrichi che mangiano terra e cagano terra...ma non son capace.
Invece son capace di perder tempo a imparare cose che mi permettono di usare sempre meno i soldi.
Perché alla fine sta tutto lì, il grande casino sono i soldi.
Servono per comprare quello che non puoi far da te ma poi con la scusa che comprando si fa prima e non hai da perder tempo a far te finisci ingabbiato a vendere l'anima a qualche azienda che ti fa perdere tempo a lavorare come uno schiavo a suo vantaggio.
Però non perdi tempo a cucirti le braghe del pigiama perché le puoi buttare e comprare e poi magari ti compri anche la macchina figa invece di andare in bicicletta.
E così, per come la vedo io, il tempo non lo perdo: me lo riprendo.
Anche se ogni tanto tocca brontolare e le cose si fanno complicate, sono complicate a vantaggio mio (e anche del mondo e anche di tutte le persone, se solo volessero provare), non del signor Salcazzo Amministratore Delegato Illustre.

Recognize that this systems view of the network architecture is only tangentially related to your focus on minimizing harm, but would argue that this clear straightforward model is necessary for achitecting a good comprehensive safety framework. The point being, if you have something too complex and impenetrable, like ATProto, then you end up just patching stuff on, whereas you still have access to core functionality of something clean and well structured like ActivityPub.

Also, the balkanized nature of AP provides an excellent mental model for designing rules by which distributed nodes interact with each other. As harm and safety issues arise these islands provide a natural facility both technically and conceptually for creating solutions, and even experimenting with different solutions across the network.
This is not to minimize the difficulty, but rather to suggest that to be successful, safety must also be constructed on a solid foundation.
