I no longer adhere to a religious club in particular, but when someone asks for everyone to bow down their heads so they can talk with their version of a deity proxy, I bow my head down.
Not because I believe what they believe.
Only because I am polite.
I’ve been known to lead prayers even now. I am very good at it. I know the lingo, I know the phrasing and I can pass as one of them.
I live in the belt buckle of the Bible Belt … sometimes, people ask these things of you.
It doesn’t hurt me to do it. My life is my own.
as I said, ask and ye shall receive.....
But if it is thrown at me.... then depending on mood, I may decide they are fair game.

What's interesting about the Angela Rayner affair is tax experts & lawyers can see how she could quite easily have received mistaken advice while the commentariat are treating her 'mistake(s)' over stamp duty as a malfeasance.
Perhaps that's because the experts understand the complexity of the law of trusts as it relates to tax, while the commentariat just want to see corruption & bring down a working class woman made good in an unpopular Govt.
The Q is: mistake or corrupt?
Yes, the optics (stoked by the media) are not good.... but (I don't know, shall we call it) the 'two tier policing' of infractions was pretty clear....

This made me LOL: While doing some research on the MAGA wingnut Laura Loomer (for no particular reason) I found a document indexed by Constella Intelligence that shows that in 2022 someone sent Loomer a delivery from shitexpress[.]com, a real business that will let you pick from a bunch of different kinds of animal feces to ship to someone's doorstep.
The accompanying message was curiously signed, "Sorry about your pay pal 🙁 " The sender in this case appears to have chosen to send horse shit.
Having been the recipient of one of these highly odiferous packages, you somehow immediately suspect what is inside based on the stink, heft, and squishiness of the package, even before you notice the sender is shitexpress.
