Si difende tanto la decentralizzazione a parole ma si abbandonano i principi veri del #fediverso con sempre meno istanze realmente indipendenti e autogestite.

Released today on Steam, JETRUNNER is being marketed as Titanfall meets Trackmania.
That’s not an exaggeration. It’s a pure parkour FPS where speedrunning is the whole point. You’re not here to soak in the scenery—you’re here to move, to keep momentum, and to shave seconds off your run until you’ve wrung every ounce of efficiency out of the level.
You play Nina White, a rookie in a futuristic sport where people strap jets to their shoes, bounce across walls, and shoot glowing targets mid-dash. Nina wants to be the best Jetrunner in the world, and the game actually sells that ambition through its writing.
The banter between Nina and her trainer, Nick, is sharp, funny, and surprisingly endearing. Nick hypes her up constantly while Nina plays the role of reluctant up-and-comer trying not to believe her own press. It’s not throwaway chatter—it adds personality to what could have been a sterile speedrun challenge.
Visually, JETRUNNER thrives on its cel-shaded comic book style. Everything pops with bold colour, from neon cityscapes to lush overgrown ruins. And paired with an 80s-tinged synth soundtrack, it feels like an adrenaline rush designed for your eyes and ears. This is a game that wants you in the zone.
The controls take commitment. You can wall-run, vault, dash, grapple, and fire off gadgets in one fluid chain—but screw up the timing and momentum dies instantly. You can’t just jump and hope for the best. Once you’re airborne, jet boots give you thrust, but you’ve got to be deliberate about how you use them.
This is why I’d recommend keyboard and mouse for precision aiming. Xbox gamepads are supported, but this is a game where mouse flicks can shave seconds off your leaderboard time.
Content-wise, you’re looking at 60+ handcrafted arenas, six jet-powered gadgets, and a full narrative campaign featuring Nina. On top of that, there’s a Challenge Mode with global leaderboards, which ties into the devs’ launch event: a week-long speedrunning competition with a $2,000 prize pool. So yes, JETRUNNER is already trying to cultivate a competitive scene right out of the gate.
It’s Windows-only natively, but I had no issue getting it running on Linux with Proton. Performance was smooth, and that’s crucial here—lag kills flow.
This is the debut release from Riddlebit Software, and they’re already teasing their next FPS, Setback. But as far as debuts go, this one’s slick.
The introductory price is C$23.39 (10% off its regular C$25.99), which feels fair considering the replayability. If you’re into fast-paced, high-skill parkour games, JETRUNNER is worth strapping in for.
