“None of the Above” by Lots Below Admittedly, this book was a whole lot of nothing.
This book punched me in the gut. I was not expecting a vampire story, and when it hit, I discovered I didn't want one, either. I did finish the book, though. Then I gave it to a random poor unfortunate.

1. Is healing frightening? To many, yes. For accusation is a bar to love, and damaged bodies are accusers. Who has been injured by his brother, and could love and trust him still? He has attacked and will attack again. Protect him not, because your damaged body shows that _you_ must be protected from him.
