Choses vue et entendues ce matin à la promenade en ville (les rues au-dessus de chez moi)

(ce pourquoi j'adore cette ville)

Une dame qui nettoie le pare-brise de sa voiture avec une éponge - j'ai à peine le temps de dire bonjour (on ne se connaît pas), elle m'explique : "J'ai bien fait d'attendre l'orage avant de nettoyer les crottes de pigeon ! Maintenant, avec ce qui est tombé hier, elle est propre comme un sou neuf. J'ai juste à fignoler !"

Un peu plus loin, par la fenêtre d'un de ces très chouettes logements sociaux (des immeubles bourgeois restaurés par les offices HLM qui ont fière allure - pas de gentrification ici), une voix un peu cassée, un peu traînante, au téléphone (je tends l'oreille) : "Ce matin j'étais allé chercher mon pain tranquillement et ça s'est bien passé, tu vois, j'étais pas excité. Je crois que c'est la bonne dose non ?"

Plus bas, en empruntant un des innombrables escaliers qui se faufilent entre les ruelles, j'entends ahaner et pester : un monsieur, casquette vissée sur la tête, qui fait une pause en soufflant fort en me croisant. Je lui fais : "elle est dure cette ville hein ! Vous venez de tout en bas ?" Lui : "Oui. C'est là qu'on se dit qu'on a bien vieilli"

Et, comme en contrepoint, dans une courette, je vois un jeune homme en survêtement se glisser hors d'une fenêtre du deuxième étage, et avec une souplesse étonnante, descendre en prenant des appuis gracieux sur une poutre en bois, puis un affleurement rocheux, avant de se laisser tomber, en arrivant sur ses deux jambes, sur le trottoir, et repartir tout joyeux comme si c'était là une manière tout à fait normale de se déplacer dans la ville (je connais cette fenêtre : il y a deux jeunes adolescentes qui s'y montrent parfois et que je salue quand je vais promener Iris : un rendez-vous galant peut-être ? Mais aussi, éventuellement, puisque je connais ce jeune homme pour le croiser tous les jours et que j'ai eu vent de ses activités, la livraison d'une marchandise illicite ? Ou bien les deux !)

Ensuite, forcément, les chats du quartier qui viennent quémander leur câlin quotidien à grands renforts de miaou - ça grince un peu dents parce que je n'ai que deux mains et qu'ils sont trois. Doucement les loustics ! Y'en aura pour tout le monde !

Note : cette nuit, les militants du 10 septembre ont collé leur affiches (sur les poubelles). L'une d'elle est franchement très réussie. Et surtout, pas de slogan "dégagiste", pas de "machin dehors". Pas mal !
