@DrSuzanne The real fun is all the people who try to find that quick fix for you, using that dreaded preface "But if you just . . ."
I've been told that all I need to do is "just" consume more antioxidants, go vegan, avoid nightshade veggies, try gin-soaked raisins, go macrobiotic, etc. etc. People seem very uncomfortable with the chronic part, and especially the fact that it only gets worse, not better, for most of us. We must be doing something wrong, in their eyes. It's nothing I did or did not do that led me here. Autoimmune disease and chronic illnesses run in my family, and have done so for generations. All it needed to kick off was a spark, a virus in my case: severely reactivated Epstein Barr.
I hope that people who are perfectly healthy have some idea of how golden that is.

I experience chronic migraines, and it’s amazing how many people seem to know more about migraine “cures” than the highly specialized care I’ve been receiving from my neurologist over the years. 🤷♀️

(This was when there was only one Whole Foods... in Austin, Texas) .They would say your child is squinting. You should give him vitamin A pills. Little did I know that was just the beginning. Yes, that's exactly what a big name medical expert said in cover article for consumer reports a few years ago..... He said there's more information coming about ticks from the research and it's all bad but no worries. Just remember it's all imaginary.

She has an autoimmune disorder which is currently in remission, but has absolutely no grace for my father, who’s dealing with the early stages of dementia and back issues or me, who has a different autoimmune disorder.
“I pushed through it and I’m fine.” For now.
