Bit random, I know but I can't be the only one in this situation, surely?!

I wear boots, right? Usually Timberland as I've not yet de-USAd those. But with my back issues, they're becoming a pain to take off or lace up.

What I think I need are those 'old-man' shoes with velcro shit. But, for reasons of vanity, I'd like them to *look* like boots from a distance!

Might anyone have suggestions, preferably relevant to UK options?

En un mensaje publicado en redes, Marx XXI explica que se trata de “Una revista para la lucha. Una revista para extender el socialismo”. </p><p>Según la información difundida en las redes sociales y en su página web <a href="https://marxxxi.com/collections/suscripciones" rel="noreferrer">marxxxi.com</a>, para recibir el primer número será necesario suscribirse antes del 22 de septiembre. Su propósito, explican, es dar espacio a análisis e investigaciones de mayor extensión que los permitidos por formatos más propagandísticos o coyunturales.</p><p>La revista nació en 2021 con el objetivo de reivindicar el marxismo y dar cabida al renovado interés de una nueva generación militante desencantada con el reformismo y el movimentismo. Con los años, sus impulsores se incorporaron al Movimiento Socialista, al que la publicación quedó vinculada desde su segunda edición.</p><p>No obstante, los editores de la revista subrayan que “los capítulos que conforman el MarxXXI son contribuciones teóricas individuales, y no deben confundirse con posicionamientos oficiales”.</p>

The wildfire smoke does interesting things to the light and colors on the river that make everything appear slightly hyperreal to me, like a diorama someone's put together in a little display case made of smoke and mirrors.
