I really do want to be able to get behind EVs in practice. In concept (on paper), they're a slam-dunk over gas cars (especially in backwards places like USA, where we don't even have other sources of FOSSIL fuel available to us unless we're a fleet)
But in practice, it's pretty much a shitshow. You either buy an affordable one that will suffer from heat damage to the battery cause it has no cooling, get one that's not well supported by the OEM, or pay a ton and fund fascists (TSLA)
