Più che un libro, Antonio Sixty Fan Club è un’operazione di arte concettuale: un oggetto da collezione, portato con sublime sprezzatura in una collana di libri.
Consiste infatti nella presentazione di un mannello di materiali degli anni Ottanta, quando l’autore istituì un fan club sulla rivista Lanciostory, ricevendo un gran numero di lettere da giovani lettrici, qui pubblicate senza interventi salvo la cancellazione delle circostanze biografiche.
Ecco dunque che l’autore ha saputo trasformare un episodio goliardico della sua gioventù in qualcosa di più di un esperimento situazionista: ha piuttosto convertito un materiale documentario di una certa rilevanza sociologica in un’installazione artistica degna di alcune delle esperienze più rilevanti dell’attualità poetica: i documenti poetici di Franck Leibovici, o i lavori di Kenneth Goldsmith, dove la lenizione dei confini tra letterario e non letterario non destituisce l’esperienza di lettura di piacere; anzi, si esce dal confronto con tutte le minime infrazioni alle leggi della testualità che caratterizzano queste lettere, divertiti e commossi dall’empatia che un volume come questo può suscitare.

We now know beyond doubt the UK is illegally arming Israel during genocide
Matt Kennard has reported for Drop Site News that the Labour government has sent 8,630 separate munitions to Israel since arms licences were suspended in September 2024. He based his article on a report by Palestinian Youth Movement, Progressive International, and Workers for a Free Palestine. They obtained their evidence from the Israel Tax Authority.In an attempt to avoid incriminating itself, the British government is refusing to say what the deliveries to Israel contained. They are hiding behind the national security excuse which they quite literally see as their get out of jail free card.
While the UK government pretends all shipments are not for military operations in Gaza, Israel categorises the deliveries as:
* Bombs, Grenades, Torpedoes, Mines, Missiles And Similar Munitions Of War And Parts Thereof
* Parts and accessories of revolvers or pistols
* Parts and accessories of shotguns and rifles
* Rocket launchers; flame-throwers; grenade launchers; torpedo tubes and similar projectors
* Tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, motorised whether or not fitted with weapons, and parts of such vehicles

Portmeirion is a super fascinating place! It’s a picturesque village in North Wales, designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1973. His vision was to create a beautiful village that blended naturally with the landscape — a kind of utopian fantasy town — and it really feels like stepping into another world. It overlooks the Dwyryd Estuary in Gwynedd.
It mixes Italianate architecture with colorful, whimsical designs. Think Mediterranean village meets fairy tale.
It’s best known for being the filming location of the 1960s cult classic TV series “The Prisoner” starring Patrick McGoohan.

How many people know what these metal strips I came across on West Campbell Street in Glasgow are? They originally housed air-filled rubber elements and formed part of the old electromatic traffic light system. These were amongst the first automatic traffic lights, and the pneumatic strips detected approaching vehicles and sent a signal to the lights to alert them of the vehicles presence. As children, we'd jump up and down on them to try to activate them, but to no avail.

The sanctuary on the north coast of the Dominican Republic is one of the main humpback whale breeding grounds in the world, making this region a key player in international efforts to protect the species. It is estimated that around 80% of the North Atlantic humpback whale population is born in these waters, underscoring the importance of conserving and maintaining this ecosystem.
The Dominican Republic authorities have implemented regulated conservation measures to protect whales and their habitat. The activity takes place under a strict protocol that ensures boats do not interfere with cetacean migration or behavior. Consequently, only boats authorized by the environmental authorities can operate in the Banco de La Plata and Navidad marine mammal sanctuary, where whales gather to breed and care for their calves.
Responsible tourism also plays a fundamental role, as the authorities promote ecotourism as a conservation tool. The income generated by whale-watching contributes to the protection of these species and their natural environment.

Cassadaga è l'ottavo album in studio dei Bright Eyes, pubblicato nel Regno Unito il 9 aprile 2007 e negli Stati Uniti il 10 aprile. Nel 2006 furono registrate dalle 25 alle 30 canzoni, di cui 13 compaiono nella tracklist finale. L'album prende il nome dalla città di Cassadaga, in Florida. Z Berg dei Like, Sherri DuPree e Stacy King degli Eisley, e la cantautrice Rachael Yamagata compaiono tutti in questo album. Il primo singolo, “Four Winds”, fu pubblicato il 6 marzo 2007, tratto dall'EP Four Winds, che contiene cinque lati B non presenti in Cassadaga. Cassadaga debuttò al quarto posto della Billboard 200, diventando l'album della band con la posizione più alta in classifica negli Stati Uniti, e vendette circa 58.000 copie nella prima settimana. Ha venduto oltre 231.000 copie negli Stati Uniti.[17] L'album è la 103esima pubblicazione della Saddle Creek Records. Questo album si è piazzato al numero 12 nella classifica dei 50 migliori album del 2007 di Rolling Stone.[18] Cassadaga ha raggiunto il numero 13 nella classifica degli album del Regno Unito nell'aprile 2007.
