Emozione
Nella lettura di questo urban fantasy vi perderete in un insieme di emozioni che trascinano il lettore all’interno del romanzo. Elena trascrive con chiarezza le vicende che accadono all’interno della sua immaginazione.
Tocca tematiche molto delicate: l’amore adolescenziale e le difficoltà dell’adolescenza.
I colpi di scena tuttavia non mancano mai e permettono al lettore di poter amare e apprezzare la storia che viene raccontata nel libro. Vi lascio la trama.

RIVELAZIONE – MONDI PARALLELI
Quanto sei disposto a rischiare per tornare a casa?
“Rivelazione” è un progetto che comprende quattro libri. Ciascuno di essi ha una struttura e una logica diversa, ma il tratto comune a tutta la quadrilogia è lo sviluppo della storia su due piani temporali diversi, in due luoghi distinti, con personaggi e situazioni che si ricongiungono e si toccano plasmando la storia e la narrazione.
La vicenda inizia nella terra di Arlessa, un regno frutto interamente della fantasia dell’autrice. Tra i vari territori di cui Arlessa si compone, vi sono due regni in guerra tra di loro: il regno di Novreg, il cui sovrano è re Frederik, e il regno di Cran, dominato dal perfido re Ghiron. Frederik si troverà catapultato in una serie di eventi tragici e nefasti che colpiranno il suo regno: oltre alla scomparsa di suo figlio neonato, dovrà rinunciare anche al suo braccio destro nonché amico fidato, il mago Seer, un potentissimo stregone che per salvare la vita del giovane principino, invocherà su di sé una magia che lo isolerà dalla realtà.
Con una serie di colpi di scena legati alla ricerca della profezia per far luce su quanto accaduto, i protagonisti si scontreranno con forze magiche oscure e malvage, in grado di distruggere il loro intero mondo.
Parallelamente alla storia di re Frederik si sviluppa il secondo piano temporale ambientato nel nostro mondo durante gli anni Novanta. Protagonista di questo filone narrativo è Daniel, un ragazzo di Minneapolis che ha appena affrontato assieme alla sua famiglia un doloroso lutto. Ben presto Denny scoprirà che la sua vita, il suo destino e quello della sua famiglia, sono legati a qualcosa di più grande e a lui incomprensibile.
Il punto di congiungimento di questi due mondi è una antichissima profezia, dimenticata nel tempo, che prevede uno scontro finale tra due schieramenti, chiamando in causa anche popoli ritenuti scomparsi, creature antiche e malvage. Se siete interessati al mondo Urban Fantasy questo libro fa al caso vostro. Ma lo è anche se siete amanti dell’High Fantasy. È un racconto che si incastona in entrambi questi sottogeneri. Questo libro è ricco di tematiche trasversali e offre spunti di riflessione che toccano contenuti universali quali il coraggio, l’amore incondizionato, le risorse per affrontare il dolore, nonché l’adolescenza come momento cruciale di evoluzione.
L’adolescenza
In psicologia è una fase di crescita attentamente studio poiché è in questo periodo così delicato che si vanno a creare i maggiori problemi psicologici e sociali dettati dalle differenze culturali, ma anche dal diverso modo di recepire le emozioni. Si parla infatti ormai sempre più spesso di intelligenze emotive e della loro importanza nella crescita.
L’adolescenza è un momento di passaggio tra la fanciullezza e l’età adulta una fase di cambiamento fisico e comportamentale che non è sempre facile accettare né per l’adolescente né per l’adulto che si ritrova a doversi confrontare con questa situazione. Nel libro questo tema viene ampiamente descritto e dibattuto anche nell’aspetto psicologico il più importante. È quindi anche una buona lettura in questo senso per comprendere il lato emozionale e psicologico dell’adolescenza.

Chiunque sia interessato alle storie fantasy ricche di azione e avventura, ai nostalgici degli anni Novanta e dello stile di vita di quel periodo esente dell’evoluzione tecnologia odierna. È un libro che si adatta agli amanti del fantasy con impronta epica nonché in particolare al tessuto magico che alimenta l’epic fantasy.

Elena Meurat (Varese 1984) si laurea in Lingue e Letterature Straniere presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano. Durante gli anni degli studi soggiorna spesso all’estero e approfondisce lo studio delle lingue in loco.
Lavora per una multinazionale italiana occupandosi di relazione commerciali estere. Prosegue la formazione specifica guadagnando l’attestato di “Responsabile questioni doganali e AEO” riconosciuto dall’Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli. Il suo lavoro la porta a viaggiare spesso, dandole la possibilità di avvicinarsi a realtà diverse e lontane che fecondano frequentemente i suoi progetti letterari.
Eredita dal padre musicista e compositore l’amore per l’Arte che sviluppa studiando canto presso la Scuola di Musica – Città di Novate.

Feeling a bit disappointed today. I tried to buy Cyberpunk 2077 on both the Epic Store and Steam, but my card was declined on both platforms. I reached out to their support teams, but they weren't able to shed any light on what's going wrong. I prefer these stores as they generally make Linux gaming less of a headache.
Last time I purchased a game was RDR2 from Gamebillet. It ran smoothly on Windows, but after switching to Linux, I hit a wall. I installed the Rockstar Games launcher using Lutris, but it was far from perfect. The launcher UI didn't scale properly and the download kept restarting from scratch, making it impossible to pause or even safely shut down my laptop. After a few frustrating attempts, I threw in the towel.
Just wanted to vent a bit as I was really looking forward to diving into Night City. Here's hoping I can sort out this issue soon and finally get my hands on Cyberpunk 2077!

It'd be nice if they had a rechargable card that you could add value to specifically, but I don't think they do. That's a good idea and I'll pass it on.

BTW, which GPU will you use for Cyberpunk? I'm still using my iGPU but I'm thinking of getting a discrete card 😅
Asking because it will be the first card I buy planning to use it only on Linux.
