📡 Mission Description:
RISAT-1B is the third in the series of radar imaging RISAT-1 satellites of ISRO using an active C-band SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar), providing all-weather as well as the day-and-night SAR observation capability in applications such as agriculture, forestry, soil moisture, geology, sea ice, coastal monitoring, object identification, and flood monitoring, in addition to military surveillance.
The RISAT-1 series is developed, manufactured and integrated by ISRO. The 3-axis stabilized spacecraft bus consists of a hexagonal prism shape build around a central cylinder. Most of the spacecraft subsystems and the payload are integrated in the prism structure and the central cylinder. The solar panels and some subsystems are mounted on the cube-shaped section of the spacecraft.

A nice little surprise on today's canyon exploration. This is a Diné (Navajo) wikiup, likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Back then it was very tough times for the Diné in the Four Corners region. Many were forced to hide in the canyons. Embarrassingly, I almost walked right by this. Lol! My mind must have been wandering. 😀

Thinking of switching to Surf Fiber internet from the Comcast Xfinity Cable I currently have - any suggestions?
I got a flyer in the snail mail the other day that said "surf fiber internet will soon be available to you". My Mom has fiber internet in another state, and I know it's fast for her (albeit she has verizon fios). I live in the USA Midwest Chicago area- and I have had comcast xfinity for 20+ years here. They are a ripoff. I am charged 88.95 a month USD. I have no TV or any other services other than basic internet (I think it's the second lowest speed- they may call it "performance internet")
What I did notice (and this may be a coincidence) was that they must be doing some construction on my street because they made survey marks on my property and painted where the gas line and water lines are. Could this be because they are putting in the fiber cables?
Thinking of switching but want to get opinions of others. Besides cost reasons, comcast can suck off because they are basically part of other hollywood support corporations that are part of ACE. (this is the other reason I want to do it)
