When I tell you I'm a fast typist I mean it. Like, really fast.
So what I'm worried about is that I'll get frustrated with not typing quickly enough and just throw my computer into a dumpster.

The 100+ wpm was calculated as the actual wpm minus some value for each mistake. And it counted mistakes. So you could choose to work more on speed, or more on accuracy. Eventually, both improve. Seems in your case you already have speed.

The Lost 256 KB Japanese ROM for the MacIntosh Plus Has Been Found
The Apple MacIntosh Plus was one of the most long-lived Apple computers and saw three revisions of its 128 kB-sized ROMs during its life time, at least officially. There’s a fourth ROM, sized 256 kB, that merges the Western ROMs with Japanese fonts. This would save a user of a Western MacIntosh Plus precious start-up time & RAM when starting software using these fonts. Unfortunately, this mythical ROM existed mostly as a kind of myth, until [Pierre Dandumont] uncovered one (machine-translated, French original).
Since this particular ROM was rumored to exist somewhere in the Japanese market, [Pierre] went hunting for Japanese MacIntosh Plus mainboards, hoping to find a board with this ROM. After finally getting lucky, the next task was to dump the two 128 kB EPROMs. An interesting sidenote here is that the MacIntosh Plus’ two ROM sockets use the typical programming voltage pin (Vpp) as an extra address line, enabling 256 kB of capacity across the two sockets.
This detail probably is why this special ROM wasn’t verified before, as people tried to dump them without using that extra address line, i.e. as a typical 27C512 64 kB EPROM instead of this proprietary pinout, which would have resulted in the same 64 kB dump as from a standard ROM. Thanks to [Doc TB]’s help and his UCA device it was possible to dump the whole image, with the images available for download.
Using this ROM image was the next interesting part, as [Pierre] initially didn’t have a system to test it with, and emulators assume the 128 kB ROM format. Fortunately these are all problems that can be solved, allowing the ROM images to be validated on real hardware as well as a modified MAME build. We were informed by [Pierre] that MAME releases will soon be getting support for this ROM as well.

<p>A Meta teria acionado o sinal de alerta após adiar, de novo, o lançamento de seu mais potente modelo de IA até agora, conhecido como Behemoth (Gigante, na tradução para português). Segundo apuração do <em>Wall Street Journal</em>, a empresa enfrenta dificuldades para atingir os avanços esperados com o novo sistema, o que tem freado os planos de disponibilizá-lo ao público.</p>
<p>A princípio, o Behemoth, parte da família <a href=\"https://tecnoblog.net/noticias/llama-4-e-anunciado-pela-meta-com-tres-tipos-de-llms-diferentes/\">Llama 4, lançada em abril</a>, estava planejado para ser um dos destaques da conferência inaugural de IA da Meta para desenvolvedores, realizada naquele mês. A empresa adiou o lançamento para junho e agora, segundo fontes ouvidas pelo <em>WSJ</em>, empurrou novamente para o outono do hemisfério norte (primavera no Brasil) ou até mais tarde.</p>
<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-estrategia-da-industria-comeca-a-ser-questionada\">Estratégia da indústria começa a ser questionada</h2>
<p>Por anos, empresas do setor impulsionaram a corrida pela supremacia em inteligência artificial ao criar modelos cada vez maiores, treinados com grandes volumes de dados. A premissa seguia a lógica de que, quanto maior o modelo, mais capaz e inteligente ele se tornaria. </p>
<p>No entanto, os recentes problemas da Meta e de outras gigantes do setor sugerem que os ganhos dessa abordagem podem estar diminuindo, enquanto os custos e a complexidade de treinamento disparam. </p>

<p>Engenheiros e pesquisadores da Meta estariam preocupados que o desempenho do Behemoth não corresponda às expectativas geradas publicamente pela empresa, que já chegou a afirmar que o modelo superaria tecnologias similares da OpenAI, Google e Anthropic em alguns testes. Na ocasião, <a href=\"https://tecnoblog.net/noticias/meta-e-acusada-de-manipular-benchmarks-de-ia-do-llama-4/\">a empresa foi até acusada de manipular benchmarks do Llama 4</a>. </p>
<p>Internamente, o desenvolvimento do Behemoth tem enfrentado desafios significativos de treinamento, segundo a imprensa dos Estados Unidos. A frustração com a falta de progresso já estaria levando a cúpula da Meta a considerar mudanças na gestão de seus produtos de IA. </p>
<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-um-desafio-comum-na-industria\">Um desafio comum na indústria</h2>
<p>O que vem acontecendo nos laboratórios da Meta não é um caso isolado. Outras empresas líderes em IA também enfrentam atrasos ou dificuldades para lançar seus próximos grandes modelos. Entre eles, o GPT-5, da OpenAI, inicialmente esperado para meados de 2024, teve seu desenvolvimento atrasado. </p>
<p>Em fevereiro deste ano, a <a href=\"https://tecnoblog.net/noticias/gpt-4-5-novo-modelo-de-ia-tem-interacoes-mais-naturais-e-menos-alucinacoes/\">OpenAI anunciou o modelo GPT-4.5</a> enquanto o CEO Sam Altman indicou que grandes avanços (esperados para o suposto GPT-5) ainda levariam mais alguns meses. A Anthropic também anunciou o Claude 3.5 Opus, uma versão maior de seus modelos, mas ainda não lançou o novo sistema.</p>
