Qualche giorno fa, la petizione sulla piattaforma ECI ha superato il famigerato obiettivo di un milione (1000000, che numerone) di firme, quindi, a fine luglio, la commissione europea, come da protocollo dovrΓ dare uno sguardo alla questione, e ci sono decenti probabilitΓ che le richieste del popolo in questione allβiniziativa diventino fottuta legge! O, almeno, cosΓ¬ succederΓ se il numero delle firme valide sarΓ sufficienteβ¦ individui imprecisati dicono che per stare sicuri bisognerebbe arrivare almeno a 1,4 milioni di firme; io invece dico, per avere un margine bello tosto, puntiamo a 2 milioni come minimo. π³
Come scrivo questo siamo a 1.3 milioni, con lβinflusso di adesioni che rallenta sempre di piΓΉ ogni giornoβ¦ e in questo senso, questa Γ¨ secondo me la buona occasione per ricordare di questo affare anche da parte mia, e quindi dire di firmare a chi ancora non lβha fatto. <form>in cui si scrivono i propri dati anagrafici e il numero di un proprio documento di identitΓ β¦ neanche a dirlo, per colpa di ciΓ² si potrebbero senza problemi inviare firme invalide, anche da fuori dellβUE. I'd like a solution to self-host services such as Vaultwarden, Immich and Home Assistant at home. I don't want to rely on cloud solutions for this so I'm thinking maybe along the lines of a Raspberry Pi for the Docker apps and a NAS for the backend storage, but I'm really clueless as what to get. I just know that I'd want something relatively simple and easy to maintain.
I'm also a bit of a Linux and Docker noob so I'm looking to get some advice and ideas from the Fedi community!
What would your suggestions be? What does your home lab setup look like?

So far, the Immich-Go tool is working really well with media extract from Google Photos via Google Takeout!
I love that it compares the media to what already exists on Immich and decides if it needs uploading, and even replaces the files if it finds a better quality version of a photo or video. π€©
